PRINCIPLE
Known as "cold" or "soft" lasers because of their lack of heat-producing capabilities, relatively shallow depth of penetration and is absorbed by mitochondrial cytochromes, the He-Ne lasers have been recently used in the treatment of a large range of pathological conditions including enhancement of wound healing, reduction of pain in patients with arthritis, and management of orthopedic problems.
